How Buy Your Friends Works

Buy Your Friends is a browser-based social tycoon game. Public X profiles are represented as collectible game characters in a shared marketplace. Players use fictional in-game points to buy friends, build businesses and compete with other players.

Buy, seat and earn

Find a friend in the marketplace and buy them with points. Seat owned friends in available positions on your board to produce recurring earnings. Earnings arrive on the game timer while you play.

Build businesses

Tables represent businesses with their own seats and progression. Filling and upgrading a board increases its usefulness and gives you more ways to organize your roster. LLC businesses use LLC cash and employee bonuses as a separate layer of progression.

Compete in a live market

Friends can change hands. Another player can pay the current market price to snipe one of your available friends, increasing that friend's value. Strategy comes from deciding whom to keep, where to seat them and when to reinvest your earnings.

Upgrades, events and prestige

Players can upgrade friends, participate in limited events and use later progression systems to grow beyond the starting board. These systems use fictional game balances only; points and LLC cash have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.

Accounts and public profile data

X sign-in connects a player to their game account. The game uses the public username, display name and profile image supplied through X. The profile image is cached for reliable display. Buy Your Friends does not request or store the player's X email address.
