Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026

Buy Your Friends (buyyourfriends.com) is operated by Tenacie LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information from X sign-in

Buy Your Friends uses X sign-in to identify your account. With your permission, X provides your X account ID, username, display name, and profile image. We do not request or store your email address.

We use this information only to authenticate you, connect you to your game profile, prevent duplicate accounts, and operate the game. We do not sell or resell X data.

Game data

Game information such as your bank balance, friends, seats, upgrades, and activity is stored in our database so the game can persist between sessions. Authentication cookies are used to keep you signed in.

To keep the market fair, we keep a one-way fingerprint of the network connection you play from (never the address itself). Accounts that have played from the same connection are limited in how often they can trade the same friend with each other.

Public profiles in the game

The market shows public X profiles (username, display name and profile image). Profile images may be cached for reliable display. If you would like your profile removed from the game, email us.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Data retention and security

We keep account and game data while your account is active. Data is stored with reputable hosting providers and sent over encrypted connections. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect to what the game needs.

Children

Buy Your Friends is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can revoke the app's X access from your X account settings at any time. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion of your account, email Bruce@tenacie.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and we will honor them.

Changes

We may update this policy as the game changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
